I have written a series of children's stories called, The "Oodleville Adventures" and designed the characters into 10 rag dolls called "Oodle dolls." Osteoporosis...not just a white woman's problem

Posted on April 30, 2010 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

As far as I knew, only older white women appeared to be its victims as they were the only ones used to advertise and talk about it in TV and magazine ads. Never had I seen a black woman even associated with the disease. So finding out I had osteoporosis was very…

In our conversation, therefore, we talked about ways to address the dolls’ color. We discussed comparing the Oodles to gollywogs who were and still are… Continue

At long last, I am proud to announce that my first children's book, "The First Trip" is online and available. The story is one of Bubba Oodle, the news reporter for the Oodleville News, and his arrival in "The Land Beyond" (our Earth) from his imaginary world of "Oodleville." There is also an introduction of the other "Oodles" and some of their adventures

.

In coming stories, Bubba will be exploring and making friends to share our lives with those in "Oodleville," and sharing the… Continue
