Why do you want to join Black Business Women Online?
I wish to network, make friends and get good advice from other African American women on succeeding in business
What's Your Business?
How did you find BBWO?
I am a proud African-American woman. I teach preschool and enjoy my job, but I also want to have my own business so that when I retire I won't be at the mercy of Social Security or LAUSD's retirement plan. I am very community minded and believe that we as African-Americans must build our own wealth, by respecting each other, helping each other and supporting each others business, goals and dreams.
I also believe that we have a responsibility to our daughters to instill in them the ability to be strong, resourceful and independent, (our sons as well, but right now I'm focusing on our daughters) Further, as an older Black woman, I feel it is my duty to 'pass on' whatever knowledge and wisdom I have gained in life to the younger women who may choose to look up to me or ask for advice.
Please accept my invitation to add me as a friend and connect with 27,500+ black professionals that are supporting each other's businesses (mlm's are welcomed). It is a powerful group with lots of benefits and opportunity to connect with other powerful black professionals and their families all around the world. We officially launched the BBN in Atlanta, GA, August 29th. It was truly a historical event and the kick-off of our worldwide movement toward economic empowerment. "Marcus Garvey began this mission in the early 1900s when he united millions of Black people all over the world, and got everyone being, buying and building Black. With the great reach and power of the Internet, we aim to further his accomplishment."
This is one of the hottest, new websites on the Internet, called www.globalblackbusinessnetwork.com. Black people are uniting to network and support black businesses. It's really great.
