Hi Ola, Thanks for inviting me to be your friend. I've checked out your magazine loving it. Its wonderful to see so many women doing their own thing and moving up in the corporate world. I read a piece about when you started you had no idea of how to run a business. I'm just getting out of that rut. God Bless

Hi Ola

Thanks for being my friend. I would love to do something for you. Motivating and inspiring women of color through writing is and has always been my passion. I've recently started a newsletter for young parents, mostly single mothers and a blog called A Woman'$ Worth, A Girl's Guide to Getting and Keeping Her Financial Life Fit and Fabulous. I would like to be a resource for your readers as well for your publication, Onyx Woman Magazine. I have lots of experience I could share. Are there any opportunities there? Let's talk. My e-mail address is pinkest78@yahoo.com.

Hi Lataoya,

Wasn't trying to ignore. I actually thought your question came from my site and I did respond on the audio message from me. I just happen to be scrolling through and I saw you.

For your response go to: http://onyxwoman.ning.com. Click on the blog, the forum or on the lower left where it says OWN Radio. You will hear me addressing your question.

Hi, I am starting my own magazine also can you give me some tips on the process and some resources?
At 9:06am on October 18, 2007, Ola Jackson said…
Hello Carita,

It is such a process that I can't answer in one response. The purpose of these sites are to gather information over a period of time. I will advise that you start with a plan.

Keep checking our web site at: www.onyxwomannetwork.com, and by all means check out the shows on our site at: www.onyxwoman.ning.com. But please stay focused and assess the feasibility of your idea. You must know that it is a process.

From time to time, you can just email me through my site and I will try to help.

Good luck!

Ola

Hi Ola,

Thanks for being my friend. I am seriously trying to network to meet others who can tell me how to get my businesses going. I need to make money. I am married with 2 children in college. My husband has a plumbing business that I am trying to help him with getting jobs. How can I do that effectively and successfully? Contact me if you can help.

Hey,

I need your help. I have just started a new website. It is designed to help businesses grow. Business Listings and advertising does cost a small fee. However, it cost nothing to post a classified ad. Most of us have a business or something that we are selling, therefore, I would appreciate it if you would just sign up and post a free classified. Please spread the word. The website is www.recycleurmoney.com.

Thanks!!
